Research: Microbial Fuel Cells

Instead of producing methane, we are studying the production of electricity directly in anaerobic bioreactors. Such bioreactors are called microbial fuel cells (MFC). We are working to improve the power output by optimizing the reactor configuration, operation, and electron transfer rate.
